On July 14, 2021, Donna and Stan Fitzgerald were photographed with country music star Travis Tritt and Georgia gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones during a campaign yacht cruise on Lake Lanier in Buford, Georgia.
The event brought together campaign supporters, political figures, entertainers and members of the media during the 2021 Georgia election cycle. Fitzgerald was working with the Vernon Jones for Governor campaign at the time.
