Fitzgerald and others attended a court proceeding involving VoterGA and Garland Favorito. According to contemporaneous social media posted by Yahanseh George, his team attended in support of Favorito and VoterGA-related election projects, and Mullins was present covering the proceedings for Real America’s Voice.
Following the court appearance, members of the group, including Mullins, Garland Favorito and investigative journalist Todd Wood, gathered for lunch at KirbyG’s Diner in McDonough.
Mullins was reporting extensively from Georgia for Real America’s Voice during this period, including coverage of election-related litigation and other election issues.
