On August 26, 2021, Stan Fitzgerald attended Burt Jones’ campaign kickoff for lieutenant governor of Georgia in Flovilla.
The event was held at the Idlewilde Event Center near Indian Springs State Park, with the scheduled program beginning at 6:30 p.m. This photograph from approximately 7:00 p.m. shows Burt Jones with Stan and Donna Fitzgerald during the campaign event.
At the time, Jones was a Georgia state senator campaigning for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor. He subsequently won the 2022 Republican primary and general election and took office as Georgia’s lieutenant governor in January 2023. Jones continues to serve as lieutenant governor as of September 2026.
