VFAF Applauds Kimberly Moyers for Helping Pass Texas SB 17 to Stop Communist China Land Ownership

VFAF A MOMENT IN HISTORY: Legislation Passed-
Veterans for America First (VFAF) recognizes and thanks Texas State Chapter Vice President Kimberly Moyers, who—together with her husband Dakota-Lee Moyers—worked directly with Texas legislators during the legislative process supporting Senate Bill 17, one of the key bills ceremonially signed by Governor Greg Abbott on August 26, 2025, as part of Texas’ package of laws protecting Texans from hostile foreign adversaries.

As reflected in the official legislative record for SB 17, Kimberly Moyers was registered in connection with committee testimony on the bill, which strengthens Texas’ defenses against Communist China and other hostile foreign actors by restricting their ability to acquire land and gain access to sensitive areas and critical infrastructure, and by imposing stiff criminal penalties for violations—ensuring hostile foreign adversaries and foreign terrorist organizations cannot exploit Texas through property ownership, infrastructure exposure, or border-related vulnerabilities.
