Brandon Gill Headlines Stan Fitzgerald’s Texas Premiere of Border Invasion to Packed Crowd
On March 28, 2024, Congressman Brandon Gill was a featured speaker at the Dallas, Texas premiere of Border Invasion: An American Crisis, a documentary directed by Stan Fitzgerald and filmed along the southern border.
The screening was held at Studio Movie Grill in Dallas and hosted by Dallas Jewish Conservatives. The official event listing promoted Gill—then the Republican nominee for Texas’ 26th Congressional District—as one of the event’s featured speakers. Victor Avila, and retired U.S. Air Force Col. Rob Maness were also listed on the program.
The program opened with remarks from the featured speakers before the documentary screening and an audience question-and-answer session. A VFAF report published on the date of the event specifically documented Gill among those who spoke prior to the screening and reported that the film played to a full house.
The accompanying event photographs preserve the scene from the Texas premiere: Gill is pictured on the red carpet with event participants in front of the Dallas Jewish Conservatives backdrop, while another photograph shows the audience filling the theater for the screening.
The event also had a charitable component. Promotional material published before the premiere stated that all proceeds would benefit Dallas Jewish Conservatives, and the post-event VFAF report confirmed that all proceeds benefited the organization.
A later VFAF profile of Gill provides additional detail, stating that film producers Stan Fitzgerald and Jared Craig donated all proceeds from the Texas premiere to Dallas Jewish Conservatives.
The Dallas premiere was part of the broader distribution and screening of Border Invasion: An American Crisis. Later coverage of Fitzgerald’s film work identifies Gill as a keynote speaker at the Texas screening.
